AI Governance for Apple

Bring AI under management.

AI is already on your Macs, approved or not. See every AI tool in use, set vendor-correct rules, and prove your posture — on the platform you already run. Powered by Jamf, guided by Onsite. Generally available and included in Jamf for Mac since 1 July 2026.

The gap

AI showed up before the rules did.

Your people are already using AI tools and agents like Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot, often without IT knowing. In Jamf’s survey of 687 IT and security leaders, 72.9% of organisations have deployed AI, 22% have already had an AI-related incident — and the deepest adopters report incidents at the highest rate. Most security tools cannot even see what is running on the Mac. That is the gap we close.

What AI governance does

See it, configure it, and prove it.

Three questions, one pipeline, three outputs — on the platform you already run.

Jamf AI Visibility dashboard — active devices, top product usage and daily activity across the Mac fleet01 · See it

What AI is running?

A live inventory of AI applications, agents and MCP servers, detected on the endpoints themselves — what launched them, what they connect to, and which activity carries risk.

Jamf AI Governance policy builder — Claude Code models and reasoning controls02 · Configure it

Is it set up right?

A plain-language policy builder for Claude Code, Claude Desktop and OpenAI Codex. Policies ship as enforced, OS-level managed settings over declarative management — no hand-edited JSON, nothing users can override.

Jamf AI Policies — published policies with status and scope across the fleet03 · Prove it

Can I show evidence?

An Executive AI Posture Report on demand and a full audit trail of every policy, deployment and change — crosswalked to the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF. Generated, not assembled.

Where Onsite fits

Ready before your wave lands.

The platform is only half the story. As a Jamf Elite Partner, we map your environment against the prerequisites, help shape policy for your risk and your tools, and keep your posture current as vendors ship — directly, or alongside your existing IT partner.

  • A readiness review: your Macs, your AI exposure, your gaps
  • Policy shaped for your risk and your tools
  • Board-ready posture reporting from day one
  • Kept current as vendors ship new controls
Availability: Jamf AI Governance is generally available (1 July 2026) and included in Jamf for Mac and Business/Enterprise plans at no additional cost. It requires Macs managed with Jamf and Jamf Protect on the estate — running passively alongside your existing security stack, or as your Mac EDR. Enablement rolls out in waves via the Jamf Account waitlist. First-wave coverage governs Claude Code, Claude Desktop and OpenAI Codex, with further tools following at continuous release. Capabilities are Jamf-reported.
