What is Jamf

The platform built only for Apple.

Jamf is the most complete management and security platform made exclusively for Apple. Enterprise-secure and consumer-simple: the control IT needs, with the experience your team already loves.

Cross-platform tools treat Apple as one more endpoint. Jamf treats Apple as Apple, which is why it supports new versions of macOS, iOS and iPadOS the day Apple releases them, and reaches Apple-native controls that generic tools cannot. For more than 20 years, over 70,000 organisations worldwide have run their Apple estates on it.

Why Jamf for Apple depth

Depth the platform actually deserves.

Apple-first, day one

Same-day support for new macOS, iOS and iPadOS, so updates never wait on your management tool.

Depth, not breadth

Every Apple-native control: zero-touch, FileVault, Self Service, PreStage and compliance.

Security made for Apple

Jamf Protect and the MI:RIAM engine watch macOS and iOS specifically, not through a Windows lens.

Built to scale

Smart Groups, automation and open APIs keep thousands of devices consistent.

Common questions

Jamf, answered.

What is Jamf?
Jamf is the leading management and security platform built specifically for Apple. It lets organisations deploy, configure, secure and support Macs, iPhones and iPads at scale.
What does Jamf Pro do?
Jamf Pro manages your Apple devices: zero-touch enrolment, app delivery, configuration policies, FileVault encryption, patching, inventory and a Self Service catalogue for users.
Do we need Jamf if we use Intune?
Not always. If Apple is small and low-risk, Intune may cover it. As Apple becomes business-critical, Jamf adds the Apple-specific depth Intune lacks, and the two can run together with identity staying in Microsoft.
Can Onsite fix an existing Jamf environment?
Yes. We regularly take on Jamf environments that were set up quickly or have drifted, audit them, and bring them back to a clean, current and well-documented state.
Can Onsite manage Jamf for us?
Yes. We offer fully managed Jamf, where we run policies, patching, security, reporting and support, as well as co-managed options alongside your IT team.
What is the difference between Jamf Pro, Protect, Connect and Trust?
Jamf Pro manages devices. Jamf Connect ties identity to the Mac login. Jamf Protect adds Apple-specific security visibility and response. Jamf Trust extends trusted access and device posture for secure connectivity.
Can Onsite support Jamf across Africa?
Yes. We support Jamf environments for organisations operating across Africa from our South African base.
