Apple management & security

Manage and secure Apple at work. Properly.

Apple usually arrives faster than the controls around it, and the gaps stay invisible until something breaks. We close them: deployed, secured, supported and provable, across Africa.

MacBook, iPad and iPhone lineup
Connect

Apple, joined to identity

Single sign-on and identity-aware access, so the right people reach the right things.

Protect

Security you can see

Encryption, compliance and threat visibility, made enforceable and reportable.

Govern

AI under management

See every AI tool running on your Macs, set the rules, and prove your posture.

Covered vs Controlled

Enrolled is not the same as in control.

Covered

Devices are enrolled.

But the operating model is thin. Setup is patchy, visibility is partial, and no one is clearly accountable.

Controlled

Devices are run with intent.

Deployed, secured, updated, monitored and supported, with clear reporting and a team accountable for the whole estate.

Who we help

Common questions

Apple management, answered.

What is Apple device management?
It is how an organisation sets up, configures, secures and supports its Macs, iPhones and iPads from one place. It covers enrolment, app delivery, security settings, updates and reporting, so every device is consistent and accounted for rather than built by hand.
What is the best way to manage Macs in business?
Use Apple Business to own and assign devices, a dedicated Apple platform like Jamf to configure and secure them, and a clear owner for running it day to day. The tools matter less than having someone accountable for keeping the estate current.
Is Intune enough for Mac management?
Intune can enrol Macs and apply basic policies, and for a small, low-risk Apple footprint that may be enough. As Macs become business-critical, most organisations need deeper Apple-specific deployment, patching and security than Intune provides on its own. See our guide to managing Apple with Microsoft.
What is Apple Business Manager?
Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Manager) is Apple’s free portal for businesses. It lets you own the devices you buy, assign them to your management platform automatically, distribute apps, and create managed Apple IDs. It is the foundation for zero-touch deployment, and it is available to organisations across Africa.
When does Jamf make sense?
When Apple is more than a handful of devices, when security and compliance matter, or when manual setup is slowing people down. Jamf gives you proper control over deployment, apps, updates and security without compromising the Apple experience.
What does Onsite do?
We design, build, secure and operate Apple environments. We set up Apple Business and Jamf, apply security baselines, integrate identity, and either hand the environment to your team or run it for you.
Can Onsite support Apple estates across Africa?
Yes. We are based in South Africa and support distributed Apple estates across the continent. Apple Business and Jamf work across African markets, subject to the usual country, feature and reseller differences, which we handle as part of setup.
