The challenge
Every install and update meant an admin physically at the machine. With thousands of invoices a day, five minutes of downtime costs real money, so the migration had to be invisible to users and customers.
What we did
Moved the group onto an Apple-first strategy managed with Jamf: zero-touch deployment, one password for everything, and a Self Service catalogue for safe, auto-updating software. Drivers’ iPads were locked to the job, signed delivery paperwork now reaches the account manager and is invoiced within five minutes.
The outcome
A migration booked for six weeks finished in a week and a half, and the team estimates Jamf freed up around half their time, now spent improving infrastructure instead of fixing it. Next: ZTNA, managed BYOD, and an Apple Vision Pro design experience for their containerised-energy division.
